Important Information for all MCUI(UC) Competition License applications for 2019

Motorcycle Union of Ireland Ulster Centre are moving into an electronic age in 2019.

Flag Seminar – 2019 we are changing from holding annual group Competitor Flag safety and Anti-doping seminars and have invested in an online compulsory “E Learning” process which can be accessed 365 days a year. (This online seminar is unavailable to any Newcomer to the sport).Competitors who have held a competition Licence previously will have to registrar online for the seminar and tests. The flag safety test will cover basic questions on the different race flag signals used at motorcycle events in Ireland with the competitors needing a 100% pass to obtain a certificate.

All Newcomers to the sport must attend our training days on the 16th Feb @ Kirkistown, 23rd Feb @ Bishopscourt and 3rd March @ Kirkistown. This can be arranged with the MCUI (UC) Race School Instructor Stephen Ferguson – stevferguson@hotmail.com

Anti – Doping Section, Our anti-doping section is accredited by Sport NI and the (FIM) Federation International Motorcycling which is the Global Governing Body of Motorcycle Racing. This seminar which has links to World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), UK Anti-doping (UKAD), Sport Ireland anti-Doping section.

This is to educate the competitors of our policies on having a Clean Sport, Prevention, Protection and checking medications. This test requires a 80% pass to obtain a certificate.

New Race License Medical Reports

A new MCUI(UC) Race License application medical forms have been introduced for 2019 and should make it easier for competitors to obtain their medical report from the GP Surgery that holds their records.

Competitors medical forms have three parts to them; –

  • Competitor Self-declaration
  • Doctor Surgery report
  • Eye test report by your Optician or Doctor

Competitors now must leave the New Doctor Report form into their GP Surgery to have it completed by their Doctor and Stamped who has access to their full medical history.

Competitors will only need a Medical if any question is answered Yes on the declaration or doctors report.

All International / Super A Licence applicant require a full Doctors medical.
